GDC Animal Control are requesting that all horses in the Waiapu Riverbed, near Ruatoria township, be removed forthwith.
The horses are coming out of the riverbed onto the state highway at night and causing danger to all motorists travelling in the area.
Any remaining horses will be mustered and impounded.
Five horses roaming on Ruatoria side roads have been impounded already.
