The World Health Organization has announced the arrival of the Omicron variation of the Covid-19 virus which is believed to be more transmissible than Delta. Erana spoke with former Prime Minister and the Co-Chair of the Independent Panel on Pandemic Preparedness and Response,  the Rt Hon. Helen Clark about Omicron which is raging through Africa. She says scientists have never seen anything like it.  It develops fast and has 50 different mutations.  They are working to tweak vaccines to ensure that it works on the Omicron variant.
