Māori are twenty more times likely to contract Covid; forty times more likely to end up in hospital with Covid and two times more likely to die after contracting Covid. Maori health researcher Dr Rawiri Taonui says the government has lost control of the situation in Auckland, whether we like it or not, Covid is headed to our region. He says we need to start preparing whanau and community plans now and get vaccinated.
