Last week heavy rains caused a huge slip on East Cape Rd blocking the road and locking in residents. We caught up with Civil Defence and Emergency Manager, Ben Green for an update of the situation and the funding they have just received from Te Puni Kokiri and Toitu Ngati Porou to provide communities with necessary equipment and telecommunications in preparation for civil emergencies.
