There are no cases of Covid 19 in Tairawhiti.  CEO of Hauora Tairawhiti Jim Green confirmed there are 10 close contacts in the Tairawhiti region who have been at locations of interest and are self-isolating when Erana Reedy caught up with him this morning.  But he says we need to crank up our vaccination numbers.  50% of the Tairawhiti general population have received their first dose and 25% are now fully vaccinated, but only 35% of Maori in Tairawhiti have received their first dose and only 19% both doses.
