Before Christmas TRONP nui Chair Selwyn Parata sent a letter to all Ngati Porou advising them of the fragile nature of our health system at home here and urging them to think carefully about returning home for the holidays. The festive season has come and gone and despite the two positive Tairawhiti cases before Christmas, we have not had any new community infections.  Selwyn says we can’t be complacent and he’s urging parents to do the research around vaccines for 5-12year olds and get our tamariki protected.
