The MetService have lifted the Heavy Rainfall Warning for our District. We are still likely to get some heavy rain overnight tonight so this situation could potentially change depending on how the weather system continues to track/evolve. We will update you all with any new information as it comes to hand, but for now the WARNING IS LIFTED.
The biggest rainfall totals during that time were as follows: Rip 143.4mm, Puketoro 125mm, Waerenga-O-Kuri 116.8mm, Arowhana 116.6mm, Wharekopae 108.2mm and Matawai 107.8mm.
The Waipaoa river had risen to 5.27 metres but is now dropping along with all the other rivers. The Hikuwai had peaked at 4.1 metres and the Waimata at 2.7 metres.
